The Unit Inspection Company of South Africa (Pty) Limited was incorporated in South Africa in 1980 after working in the construction phase of Sasol 2 from 1978 to 1980. Its South African subsidiary was operating as Oceaneering Unit Inspection when Unit Inspection's parent company was acquired by Oceaneering International Services in January 2003.
